Meet Colin Lentz, DDS

Dr. Colin Lentz grew up just outside Indianapolis, Indiana in an old farming community called Fishers and is a third generation dentist after his father and grandfather. He did his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences at Auburn University. His academic successes at Auburn made him eligible for Navy scholarship and helped him pursue his goal of becoming a dentist. Dr. Lentz received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at Indiana University. While at IU, Dr. Lentz was President of the Student Body, on the Dean’s List and recognized for his leadership roles by the International College of Dentists.

US NAVY DENTIST

After dental school, Dr. Lentz was commissioned as a dentist into the US Navy and shipped off to beautiful Hawaii for his tour. While in the navy he completed comprehensive oral surgery, endodontic and prosthodontic rotations from specialists at Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Kaneohe Marine Corps Base and Tripler Army Medical facility. He was certified in basic and acute cardiac life support and credentialed in all privileges that a general dentist could assume in the military.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Dr. Lentz is a life student, he continually strives to enhance his skills and experience even after his dental school education. Since his graduation, Dr. Lentz has enrolled in over 1000 hours of continuing education, lecture and teaching. He is truly dedicated to his profession and his patients.

FAMILY LIFE

While in Hawaii Dr. Lentz and his wife Leslie celebrated the birth of their first baby, Hensley Marie. She is absolutely adorable and growing up way too fast. He and his wife have added 4 other children to their family: Heston, Hollis, and the twins – Hudson and Hunter…and yes, they are done. After his tour in the navy was completed the family was looking for a great community that was near a large city and a lake, beautiful Lake Lanier and Hamilton Mill in NE Atlanta was the perfect place.
