What Is The Procedure For Veneers

Your first trip is for consultation with our dentist, and the other two are to make and apply your veneers. Next, the dentist will trim off about ½ millimeter of enamel off the surface of your teeth. This is about the amount of thickness the veneer will take. After the trimming, we will make a model of your teeth and send it to a dental laboratory that will construct your veneer. After about two to four weeks, your veneer will be ready.
Process
Our dentist will place the veneer on your tooth, removing and trimming until he/she gets the perfect fit. Your teeth get cleaned and etched to give it a rough surface that will enhance bonding. After this, a special cement bonds the veneer to your tooth and a special light beam will harden it quickly. Finally, the veneer is adjusted and evaluated, and excess cement removed. Oral Hygiene
Maintaining oral hygiene after getting veneers is very important. You should keep up quality hygiene practices like flossing, brushing, rinsing, and use of antiseptic mouthwash. Regular visits to the dentist are also of the essence. Our dentist may tell that you should not take foods and beverages that may stain your teeth like red wine and coffee. In situations where you have to consume these foods and beverages, you should wash your mouth immediately.
