This procedure requires that we take bone from your body, usually the mouth, tibia or hip, a cadaver bone, animal bone, or a synthetic bone, and implant it into the bone lying beneath your gums. It is a long recovery, usually requiring four months to a year of recovery time before an implant can be placed. What Are the Types of Dental Implants?There are several types of dental implants available to you. The first is called an endosteal implant, which has become the most popular in recent dental history.
